Why is composer and university lecturer Vic Hoyland planning to hire Birmingham’s Q Club next spring?
Because the Corporation Street venue, more usually associated with drum ’n’ bass sessions than the 20th century European avant garde, turns out to be the ideal location for a rare performance of Stockhausen’s Carré for four orchestras, involving 150 Birmingham University students.
